Main Street Delaware is the nonprofit behind downtown Delaware, Ohio’s First Fridays, Farmers’ Market, Christmas in Downtown, and beautification programs. Its mission is to create a vibrant downtown experience for residents, visitors, and local businesses.
An outdated site that couldn't showcase downtown
Main Street Delaware needed a complete redesign. The old site was outdated, with broken pages and links, and it didn’t capture the energy of downtown Delaware. The team wanted to bring video into the new site and give visitors more ways to interact with the events calendar.
What we did
We overhauled everything over a multi-month redesign, rebuilding the site in WordPress to be beautiful as well as functional. Highlights include:
- Video woven into the site, starting with a full-width homepage video
- A more interactive events calendar, plus dedicated pages for First Fridays and the Farmers’ Market
- A business directory that highlights Platinum, Gold, and Silver partners
- Clear paths to volunteer, donate, and become a partner or Friend of Main Street
- Visitor resources like parking, places to stay, and a map of downtown
The result: Main Street Delaware staff now spend far less time on website updates. They can make changes themselves quickly and easily, or send quick requests our way.
