Uptown Westerville Website Redesign

Downtown Nonprofit · Westerville, Ohio

History. Community. Connection.

Since 1989, Uptown Westerville, Inc. has been the heartbeat of Westerville’s historic district, supporting local businesses and bringing people together through festivals, markets, and community events like Fourth Friday and the Westerville Farmers Market.

A site where no one could find how to get involved

Uptown Westerville needed a complete redesign. The old site’s page architecture made it hard to find almost anything; people couldn’t even figure out how to become a member. Events were the best thing about the old site, but even those fell short when someone needed details about a specific event.

What we did

Over a multi-month redesign, we rebuilt the site in WordPress with a new page architecture and a focus on design and an easier experience for every visitor. Highlights include:

  • A simpler page structure so visitors can find what they need quickly
  • A clear Partner With UWI page that explains each partnership level and how to join
  • An events calendar with full event details, plus an easy way to add community events
  • Dedicated pages for signature events like Fourth Friday, the Farmers Market, and Uptown Untapped
  • A business directory and pages for sponsorship and volunteering

The result: UWI staff now spend far less time on website updates. They can make changes themselves quickly and easily, or send quick requests our way.
